1952 Raleigh Sports Tourist
Raleigh used the moniker "Tourist" liberally over the years, though originally it was used for models upgraded with a Sturmey Archer hub. This 1952 Sports features a rear 3-speed Sturmey Archer "Dynohub" with an integratred dynamo powering the orignal Sturmey Archer lighting set.
The restoration focused on retaining as much of this very original bicycle as possible. The finish was carefully reinstated with enamel closely matching that used by Raleigh. Box-lining was hand-applied along thin decals custom made by Bell's to match the original designs.
Much of the existing chrome-finished parts were restored. Other original parts such as the saddle and pedals were also carefully renewed.
